LYRICS ::

Destiny sat in the silver chair
As I stood in the shadows of the streetlit stairs
The prism, it gleamed into the darkened sea
By a thread, the sunrise pulled you back to me

I stood on the balcony in the golden sun
Knowing I wasn’t the only one
& I saw him walking along the sands
Holding the dove of peace in his hands

There was a man who stood in the shadows
Who he was, nobody could tell
& I watched him paving the way
Through the pouring rain
The truth somebody must tell,
I guess you know it well

I stood on the rocks where the waves, they crashed
& watched the stars fall as the silent night passed
As the moon rose above us in its arc
In your eyes, I saw that spark

I sat in the tree & looked to the skies
Heard the trumpets ring out & the angels cried
Nobody could see the truth in that grave
Stark & innocent lives that could have been saved

There was a man who stood in the rain
Just trying to make a man’s soul whole again
& I watched him paving the way
Through the pouring rain
The truth somebody must tell,
I guess you know it well

I sat on the hill & watched the clouds pass
Trials may come, but they never can last
It was spring & the flowers on the hillside were blooming
I stood up & admitted I was only human

I sat on the earth & I felt it move
Beneath my feet, I felt what he knew
I saw many miracles shining through
& the wind of change, so fresh it blew

There was a man who stood in with
When the time comes, we’ll do what we must
& I watched him paving the way
Through the pouring rain
The truth somebody must tell,
I guess you know it well
